Things We Love – The Toronto Christmas Market at the Distillery District!

If you haven’t paid a visit to the Distillery District, you should – NOW!  Lowe’s Toronto Christmas Market at the Distillery District is back for another holiday outdoor market extravaganza and this year the market is around until the 18th of December!
The Distillery District, located east of the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood off Front Street East and Parliament St., is a gorgeous pedestrain-only cobblestone mecca of art, dining, and shopping.  Fully restored in 2003, the historic neighbourhood still retains its architectural charm and authentic beer and brewing distilling roots with its iconic Gooderham and Worts manufacturing facilities, but instead of distilling alcoholic beverages, the building now host a number of cafes, restaurants, art galleries, artists’ workshop studios, independent retailers and designers, home decor, specialty food shops (you must check out Made in Quebec for fine cheese!), and more.

Coupled with the architectural beauty, the Toronto Christmas Market is a beautiful outdoor market that exudes the magic and charm of a European market.  There are booths in every cobblestone lane, selling everything from Christmas baked goods, tea, cheeses, meats, chocolates, and gifts.  Aside from the holiday decorations at every corner and mouthwatering goodies, our favourite thing about the market is the giant Christmas tree!  If you haven’t yet been, make a day out of it and let us know what you enjoyed most and what goodies you picked up!
