Join Le Dolci for a week of pastry school and you won’t be disappointed! Whether you’ve got a sweet tooth, or prefer the savory side to things, this trip offers you an unforgettable week full of hands-on, interactive food, fun and French culture in great company! It was a fantastic experience working alongside professional chefs in the Paris cave kitchen at the French cooking school, shopping at the local fresh food markets of the St. Germain district, touring Paris by mouth (literally!) with professional guides, and dining with new found friends at local hot spots. Throughout the week we indulged in the exquisite flavours Paris has to offer and uncovered the secrets to baking the perfect baguette, choux pastry, macarons, and buttery flaky croissants. Délicieux!!! The preferred hotel partner (the historic Hotel Jeu de Paume) on the quaint Ile St-Louis, provided the ideal vacation location; the neighbouring island to Notre Dame Cathedral and only a bridge crossing away from our school. One of the great elements of the tour was the low-ratio participation (there were six of us) – this provided for an intimate experience and gave you the opportunity to grow together as a group. Plenty of time is provided for independent excursions and shopping; but if this isn’t your first time in Paris, you may want to allot yourself a few extra days, a week even, to taken in more touristy sites.
