Chef Rouge aka Chef Dave Mottershall
Chef Dave Mottershall or Chef Rouge, originally from Toronto, returned to Toronto last year after spending several years on Prince Edward Island. While in PEI, he opened Terre Rouge Bistro Marche, a restaurant featuring locally sourced and sustainable ingredients and was named PEI Chef of the year in 2012.
Since his arrival back on the Toronto culinary scene, Chef Rouge has been popping up as Loka Snacks on a kitchen tour making various stops across the city. He cares deeply about quality ingredients and good food. “I would describe my style of cooking as approachable and focusing on local, seasonal food without being too fussy,” he says.
On February 14, Chef Rouge brings his talents to Le Dolci to host an intimate five-course Valentine’s Day dinner, where guests can get to know the chef over an amazing meal including dishes like roast duck breast, coco nibs, dark chocolate jus, smoked fingerlings and more.
