We love to discover all things cupcakes here at Le Dolci, and Etsy is one of our favourite websites in finding gorgeous and unique products. We stumbled upon Martha Johnson’s shop featuring knitted hats and she has several knitted cupcake hats for children! WE LUV!
These hats are way too cute to not share with our Le Dolci friends. Even though it’s summer here in Canada, that doesn’t mean these cupcake hats are out of the question! Dress your toddlers up with these pretty hats for a photo shoot or simply to look even more adorable than they already are.
Besides cupcakes as a theme, Martha also does several other patterns. Flowers, fishes, and stripes can all be found at her etsy store.

- Sweet Vanilla Rhubarb Jam
Bumpercrop means an abundant harvest and their mantra is “Local First, Best Always!” All of their products are made with Ontario fruits and vegetables. All of Bumpercrop’s products are sourced from Ontario farmers that they work closely with.
Joanna Sable, a Cordon Bleu Chef, together with Lisa Taerk, are the creators of Bumpercrop and we LOVE them dearly.
They’ve been friends for 40 years and we love their energy, vibrancy and passion for food.
Joanna is a great friend of Le Dolci and she is always taste testing and dipping her fingers in our batter to ensure it is of the highest standard! The wonderful duo are truly passionate about what they do and it shows in every aspect of their work and brand.
We love the section on their website which gives Tips, Ideas, and Recipes. There’s interesting ways to use their products in cakes, drinks, and savoury foods. Look out for their products and tastings at our new shop! Come visit and pick up a jar at 1006 Dundas Street West.
The Fort York Food Bank has been assisting families in need for more than a decade now. FYFB helps a diverse group of people made of different family sizes and ethno-cultural communities with their various services. Whether recently unemployed or underemployed, FYFB provides the assistance required to connect with the community.
One of FYFB’s core programs is the Food Program where a three-day supply of groceries is provided to low-income individuals and families living in their community. A member of the Daily Bread Food Bank, FYFB is assigned the service area that covers the Westside of downtown Toronto, from Yonge to Dovercourt, Lake Ontario to Bloor. Because many low-income individuals and families cannot get adequate nourishment, by working with registered dieticians, FYFB’s Food Program provides grocery baskets that adhere by the Canada Food Guide.
Another great program FYFB offers is its Counselling & Advocacy program. This specific program focuses on preventing homelessness and reducing hunger by assisting their clients to resolve issues affecting them. FYFB’s volunteers help connect clients with a range of programs, such as Social services, Income security programs, Legal services and Housing.
As part of the community, Le Dolci supports FYFB and hopes that families and individuals will receive the help they need. To volunteer, donate, say hello and see how you can help, check out their website: http://www.fyfb.com/
Le Dolci has partnered up with Rosewood Estates Winery in Niagara, a family-owned business that is very passionate about what they do. Rosewood was nominated in Inter-Vin Wine Competition as one of the Top 10 Wineries and has won over 65 awards in different wine competitions.
Besides their famous estate wines such as the 2009 Süssreserve Riesling and 2010 Sémillon, Rosewood also makes meads, honey, and candles.
Oh, and something to look forward to is our NEW Honey & Mead (honey wine) tasting classes! What is mead you ask? Made from the fermentation of honey and water, mead (or honey wine) was the earliest form of drinkable alcohol
The first class will be held on July 12th. Kyrstina Roman, will be leading the Honey & Mead tasting classes here at Le Dolci. There will be several of their wines for tasting and Kyrstina will describe the characteristics of each one. She will also be bringing in different types of honey, such as buckwheat and wildflower honey, and will explain the differences between the various kinds.
Additionally, there will be small treats for the wine pairing, such as cheese or wine-infused cupcakes. We’re very excited and hopefully you are too!

We are looking forward to attending Dermalogica’s “Tie the knot with great skin & style” event next week! When it comes to Dermalogica, they’re known for their dedication toward delivering skin health results through education, innovation, and professional recommendation to their customers. Every few months, Dermalogica hosts a fun skin health lesson where they educate the public through skin consultations, Q&A time, and more.
The event will focus on the theme bridal, and Le Dolci will be present with our creations to share and talk about the newest trends for wedding day treats! Cupcakes are a great alternative to the traditional wedding cake and everyone seems to be loving them more than ever before! We will also be joined by Bella Jackon from Floral Fetish to offer floral arrangements ideas for the big day.
Look forward to the event photos soon!
