Our friends at Cocoa Latte and the amazing Karen S. are hosting a fundraiser for the Nzirambi Orphanage in Uganda.
On Sept. 21 from 7-9pm. Head to the quaint cafe on St. Clair West eat some great food, win some fab raffle prizes and support a great cause. We’ve been supporters for the last 2 years and have loved hearing all of the stories from the orphanage and also the amazing things people do to support the charity. Our favourite story is of the 8year old boy who asked for money for his birthday, not toys from all of his friends as he wanted to donate it all to the charity – such a great kid!
Buy your tickets here and come out for a fun and chocolatey evening http://itsachocolateaffair.eventbrite.com/
Tickets are $25 – drinks/food included.

Project Engagement presents: FORK U, taking place on Wednesday, November 30th at Muzik nightclub. Project Engagement is a registered not-for-profit organization that helps families in Toronto/GTA who are in need.
Project Engagement collects and packs hampers filled with food and essential house hold items to donate to these families. Families are selected in partnership with community assessment teams which include Toronto Police and Fire Services, and local religious institutions.
In 2006, they provided 40 families with a hamper filled with everything they would need to make a holiday meal as well as groceries for a few extra weeks. The need has grown so much that last year they provided hampers to over 250 families. This year their goal is to help 300 families.
This year’s event, Fork U, is a food and wine tasting where you will be able to sample the wares from a selection of Toronto’s finest chefs and restaurants including:
- Chef Victor Barry of Splendido;
- Chef Matthew DeMille of Enoteca Sociale;
- Chef Steve Gonzalez, Top Chef Canada contestant;
- Chef Carl Heinrich of Marben;
- Chef Nick auf der Mauer of Porchetta & Co.; and
- Barque Smokehouse.
- and our Le Dolci Cupcakes!
Tickets are $150 each and include access to all the food, wine and dessert tasting stations, bar and silent auction.

Prepare to see some fabulous ‘taches being sported on men around the world because in just one week, men will be growing some hairy bits over their lip to promote awareness and raise funds for prostate cancer. On November 1st, Movember officially begins and guys can say goodbye to a squeaky-clean shaven face and raise money for moustache-growing efforts. At Le Dolci, Toronto’s fun, foodie studio, we are showing our support by not waxing our lady moustaches this month (ha, ha) and hosting a Movember cupcake class at Le Dolci, with a portion of class profits going to Movember.
Join us for this fabulously fun class where you are sure to leave with a box of sinfully delicious treats and a bit of creative time under your belt. We hear eating cupcakes makes your ‘tash grow faster.
Touting all natural ingredients, Le Dolci is a great place for young, old and in between to come and try their hand at creating an edible work of art.
