In this class you will learn:

  • The Art of Zabaglione in Italian, Sabayon in French: We'll kick off the class by delving into the heart of Tiramisu – the Sabayon. You'll discover the technique behind creating a silky, egg-based custard that forms the foundation of this dessert. You'll learn how to balance flavors and achieve that perfect consistency.
  • Zabaione or zabaglione is an Italian dessert, or sometimes a beverage, made with egg yolks, sugar, and a sweet wine -like Tiramisu!
  • Choosing the Right Ingredients: We'll explore the importance of selecting high-quality ingredients. From fresh eggs to the finest cocoa and coffee, you'll understand how the choice of ingredients can elevate your Tiramisu to new heights.
  • Layering and Assembling: Once you've mastered the Sabayon, you'll move on to the fun part - assembling your Tiramisu. Learn the layering technique, ensuring each bite is a perfect balance of cream, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, and a dusting of cocoa.
  • Presentation and Garnishing: Aesthetics are essential, and we'll teach you how to beautifully present your Tiramisu. Discover garnishing techniques that will make your dessert a visual masterpiece.

This is a 1.5 hour class

  • The knowledge on preparing the components of a Tiramisu,  from the sabayon, to the Lady Finger biscuits, and the assembly.
