Come along to our Masterclass in Macaron making!

This is a 2 hour class 

In this master class, instructed by one of our talented chefs you will work in groups to execute a Parisian macaron recipe. One of our chefs will prepare buttercream for you with which to fill your macarons, then comes the super fun assembling part. What a great way to spend a day! The best part is, you will bring home delicate delicious macarons that YOU will have made.

In this class, you will learn:

  • How to bake and pipe Parisian macarons 
  • How to macaronage 
  • The theory of meringue and the different types  
  • How to pair, sandwich and fill macarons 
  • How to properly store and age your macarons 

You will go home with:

  • Beautiful macarons that YOU piped and filled -yay!
  • Roughly 20 macarons depending on the class size
  • New understanding of Swiss meringue buttercream 
  • An understanding of the macaron recipe 
  • Macaron recipe, and Swiss meringue buttercream recipe (emailed to you before class)

All ingredients and equipment, including transport boxes for your course are provided, you do not need to bring anything with you. The teacher will ensure that you work at a pace suitable for you. 

If you would like, you can bring a bag to carry your macarons home. We provide sturdy cardboard boxes, but you may find it easier to carry your macarons  in a reusable tote bag especially if taking public transit to class.

Not worth the money

I spent over $400 for three of us and it wasn’t worth the money I spent. So disappointed. There was minimal instruction and guidance. We had to share everything g in groups so you weren’t really making macaroons. It was confusing and rushed and there was hardly any dialog with the chef. She basically did a quick demo and left us on our own. The macaroons themselves were ok but the filling was premade and disgusting. No discussion on ideas to fill. I feel like I had to prompt her with the most common questions about making macaroons. I understand there are time constraints but then just do a demo with more dialog and history etc. and charge less. I feel really upset and taken advantage of. I feel like you just gave us some ingredients just so you could call it hands on and charge an exuberant amount of money. I will not be recommending your classes to anyone and will never take another class with you. Sorry

It was a lovely experience. Chef Stephanie was pleased, knowledgeable and i very Profesional.
The facilities are welcoming and specious.
I would definitely recommend Le Dolci to anyone wanting to take baking classes.

Good tips but failed bakes

The chef was very welcoming and friendly. They shared great tips about baking macrons, and baking in general. However there were issues with the macrons made in the class.. despite being guided through the process, 1 group had completely unusable biscuits, and another group had a lot of cracking. We spilt those biscuits that did bake well amongst all in attendance. For the price of the class, I expected everyone's bakes to turn out well. Underwhelmed in that regard.
