🎂 What does cake have to do with creativity, innovation, and better work culture?

Everything.

At Le Dolci Culinary Classroom, we’re always thinking about how food brings people together—and how stepping away from your desk (and into a cake-filled field) can unlock something magical in your brain.

That’s why we’re hosting Toronto’s first-ever Cake Picnic on May 24th.
I would encourage you to bring a team member who you need some 1-1 time with or invite your whole team to participate as a creative way to get to know each other out of the office (or offline).

Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like: you bring a cake, a blanket, and an open mind. You leave with a sugary injection, new flavours from sampling the various cakes and maybe a few new creative ideas.

This isn’t just a fun activity (though it will be!).
It's a reminder that creativity isn’t something that only happens between 9 and 5.

If you're a leader looking to support your team's well-being and spark innovation—encourage them to join the picnic (and pay their $15 entry fee -which covers the event and delicious pink lemonade).

All they have to do is bake and decorate a cake to join the party.

We never know where the next big idea might rise—from a spreadsheet, or a slice of blueberry walnut cake named Sally (yes you have to name and give your cakes a description).
