Not sure which class is right for you? Here are some of the most common questions about our bread baking classes.
Is this class suitable for beginners?
Yes! Our Intro to Bread: Challah & Babka Class, Croissant Class, and Italian Aperitivo & Focaccia Workshop are all great for beginners. No previous baking experience is needed.
Our chefs guide you through the techniques step by step, so you can learn at a comfortable pace while gaining confidence with bread dough.
How long is the class?
The Challah & Babka and Croissant classes are both 2 hours.
The Italian Aperitivo & Focaccia Workshop runs a little longer to include the aperitivo experience while your dough proofs and bakes. Check the individual product page for exact class timing.
Do I take my bread home baked, or do I bake it myself?
For the Challah & Babka and Croissant classes, you'll leave with unproofed or unbaked dough to finish at home.
You get to enjoy the fun of baking your creations fresh in your own kitchen and fill your home with that amazing fresh-baked bread smell!
Do I need to bring anything with me?
No! All ingredients and equipment are provided across our bread classes at Le Dolci Culinary School Toronto.
Just bring yourself and your appetite for learning.
Will I get the recipe afterward?
Yes! The Challah dough and crumble recipe and the Croissant recipe are both emailed to you before class, so you can recreate your favourite breads at home.
Is the studio accessible?
Classes may be held in our upstairs studio, which is accessible by stairs only. If you need accommodation, please email us in advance and we'll do our best to help.
Our downstairs studio is wheelchair accessible, but our table heights are higher than usual for cooking purposes. Please email us in advance to discuss if we can accommodate you.
How much bread will I go home with?
For the Challah & Babka Class, you'll go home with two loaves: one classic braided Challah and one filled Babka.
For the Croissant Class, you'll take home about a dozen unbaked croissants. The exact quantity can vary depending on how small or large you cut and roll your croissants.
Is this a good gift or date idea?
