What will I learn in the Doughnut Class?
You'll learn how to roll and cut brioche doughnut dough, check whether your dough has been properly proofed, safely fry doughnuts, and decorate them with different toppings and glazes.
You'll also learn techniques you can use to recreate delicious doughnuts at home.
Do I need baking experience?
Not at all! This class is perfect for absolute beginners.
Our chef will guide you through each step at a comfortable pace, so you can enjoy the experience whether you're new to baking or simply want to learn a new skill.
How long is the Doughnut Class?
The Doughnut Class is 2 hours long.
How many doughnuts will I take home?
You'll take home approximately 8–12 doughnuts, plus a few doughnut holes.
The exact quantity depends on how you roll and cut your dough. Smaller doughnuts will give you more pieces, while larger cuts will result in fewer.
Is the Doughnut Class suitable for vegans?
No. The brioche dough contains milk, eggs, and butter, so this class is not suitable for a vegan diet.
Is the Doughnut Class gluten-free?
No. The doughnuts are made with all-purpose flour containing gluten, so we aren't able to offer a gluten-free version of this class.
Does the class contain nuts?
Yes. Please note that the Doughnut Class may contain nuts.

Yes! Like all classes at Le Dolci Culinary School in Toronto, all ingredients and equipment needed for the Doughnut Class are provided.
You don't need to bring any baking equipment or ingredients with you. Just bring yourself and your appetite!
What recipes will I receive?
You'll receive the recipes for:
- Brioche doughnuts
- Chocolate glaze
- Vanilla glaze
The recipes are sent to you by email so you can recreate your favourite doughnuts at home.
Can children attend the Doughnut Class?
Yes, children under 13 can attend as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also enrolled in the class.
For safety reasons, children cannot participate in the frying process and should step away from the station while their parent or guardian handles the frying.
Two tickets must be purchased when bringing a child, as both the child and accompanying adult need to be enrolled.
Can I add an apron to my booking?
Yes! You can add our popular "Good Things Come To Those Who Bake" apron to your booking and take home a fun Le Dolci keepsake along with your doughnuts.
Is the studio accessible?
Classes may be held in our upstairs studio, which is accessible by stairs only. If you need accommodation, please email us in advance and we'll do our best to help.
Our downstairs studio is wheelchair accessible, but our table heights are higher than usual for cooking purposes. Please email us in advance to discuss your needs and whether we can accommodate you.
Can I take my doughnuts home?
Absolutely! You'll leave the class with your freshly made doughnuts and doughnut holes to enjoy at home.
