Le Dolci Bakery's Big Day
Yesterday was a big day for Le Dolci Bakery & Culinary Classroom, I sold the bakery division to a lovely human who will continue to run it as Elle Dee Cakes. The cakes will still be available at McEwan, Kitchen Hub, Loblaws & Fortinos, hooray!

As some of you may know, the bakery started on a whim, after I made my friend Deepika’s wedding cake at a posh private members club across from Buckingham Palace many moons ago. That was my first icing sugar explosion and there were many more laughs and dramas all rolled into the fun we had over the years.
From a small shop on Dundas West in Toronto, we listed in luxury grocery stores and finally I achieved my goal of getting into Loblaws -we listed with 35 stores 3 weeks before the pandemic began(!), fun times indeed but we continued to work hard throughout the pandemic to make cakes for all of your special occasions.
I loved every part of running the bakery side of the biz especially with my Momma Dolce by my side from day one. I always surrounded myself with a team of amazing women making cake magic happen! I will miss my bakery ladies and have so many great memories of all of the bakery ladies who made cakes for you & for me too, esp. my son’s giant first birthday cake!

The Culinary Classroom and The Lactation Cookie Company🍪 will now get my laser focus and I will see you all in class or at a trade show for the cookies!
