Is this class suitable for beginners?
Yes! Our Mixology Class is great for beginners, and no bartending experience is needed. It's also a fun option for more experienced home bartenders who want to sharpen their skills and learn new techniques.
Our bartender will guide you through each step, so you can feel comfortable whether you're picking up a cocktail shaker for the first time or already have a few favourite drinks in your repertoire.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes. This is a 19+ class because you'll be working with and consuming alcohol during the experience. All guests must bring valid government-issued ID.
How long is the class?
The Mixology Class is 90 minutes long, giving you plenty of time to learn, mix, taste, and enjoy your cocktails without feeling rushed.
What will I actually make and learn?
You'll learn practical cocktail-making skills that you can use at home, including:
- How to batch cocktails for parties
- What a shrub is and how to make one
- The basics of shaking, stirring, and muddling
- How to combine ingredients and build balanced cocktails
You'll mix and enjoy three different cocktails during the class. Most components are prepared ahead of time by the chef instructor, so you can focus on the fun part: mixing, learning, and tasting.
Can this class be made non-alcoholic?
Yes! The cocktails taught in the class can be made non-alcoholic. Our bartender will provide the appropriate substitutions and have the necessary ingredients available during the class.

Do I need to bring anything with me?
You'll only need to bring your government-issued ID.
Everything else, including the ingredients, cocktail components, and equipment you'll use during the class, is provided by Le Dolci Culinary School in Toronto.
Will I get the cocktail recipes afterward?
Yes! Recipes for all of the cocktails and their components are emailed to you either before or after your booking, so you can recreate your favourites at home.
Is the studio accessible?
Classes may be held in our upstairs studio, which is accessible by stairs only. If you need accommodation, please email us in advance and we'll do our best to help.
Our downstairs studio is wheelchair accessible, but our table heights are higher than usual for cooking purposes. Please email us in advance to discuss your needs and whether we can accommodate you.
Do I need a safe ride home after class?
Yes. Since you'll be consuming alcohol during the class, please plan for a safe way to get home afterward.
Public transit, Uber, a taxi, or a designated driver are all good options. At Le Dolci, we support responsible drinking and want everyone to have a great time and get home safely.
