Have you ever looked at a beautifully decorated cake and thought, I wish I could make that?
This September, you can finally learn.
Le Dolci’s Five Day Cake Baking & Decorating Masterclass is a hands-on introduction to cake decorating designed for absolute beginners. Over five days in Toronto, you’ll build your skills from the ground up, starting with cake and buttercream before moving into piping, fondant, gumpaste, and two-tiered cake decorating.
Five Days, Five Big Skills
Each day brings a new technique to learn and practice:
Day 1: Learn the foundations of vanilla cake baking and Swiss meringue buttercream, including buttercream colouring and piping techniques.
Day 2: Create a colourful rainbow striped cake while learning how to cut, layer, and achieve smooth, straight sides.
Day 3: Turn buttercream into flowers as you learn to pipe roses, five-petal flowers, mums, leaves, and foliage.
Day 4: Dive into fondant and gumpaste, from colouring and covering cakes to creating decorative cutouts and a gumpaste teddy bear topper.
Day 5: Bring it all together by learning how to properly support and stack a two-tiered cake, then decorate it with buttercream flowers.
And you don’t just leave with new skills.
You’ll take home a tall 6-inch rainbow cake, buttercream flower cupcakes, a fondant cake with your gumpaste topper, and a two-tiered buttercream flower cake.
Everything Is Ready for You
No need to bring your own cake tools or ingredients. All ingredients, equipment, and transport boxes are provided, and your instructor will guide you at a pace that works for you.
You’ll also receive recipes for chocolate cake, vanilla cake, Swiss meringue buttercream, American buttercream, and a guide to using piping tips.
