Join us for our Doughnut Class!
This class is great for absolute beginners! And you will achieve all this in just ONE day! Wow!
This is a 2 hour class
In this two hour class, you will learn the fundamentals of creating brioche doughnuts, including mixing, proofing and frying. The dough is premade for you so you can get to the satisfying doughnut rolling, cutting, and frying part. Decorate your sweet creations with a variety of toppings and glazes. Each student takes home their sweet and delicious goodies… to share or not to share.

In this class you will learn:
- How to roll out your doughnut dough
- The technique for precisely cutting out your doughnut shapes
- How to gauge whether your doughnut dough is proofed enough to fry
- How to safely fry your doughnuts to the perfect golden brown texture
- How to decorate your doughnuts
You will leave this class with:
- 8-12 doughnuts based on how you roll/cut your dough, and a few doughnut holes
- An understanding of working with brioche dough and proofing
- An understanding of how to fry your doughnuts
- Knowledge of how to recreate doughnuts and how to easily decorate them
- Our brioche doughnut recipe, chocolate glaze recipe, and vanilla glaze recipe (will be emailed to you before class)

All ingredients and equipment is provided, you do not need to bring anything with you. Our chef will ensure that you work at a pace suitable for you.

What will I learn in the Doughnut Class?
You’ll learn how to roll and cut brioche doughnut dough, check for proper proofing, safely fry doughnuts, and decorate them with different toppings and glazes.
Do I need baking experience?
Not at all! This class is perfect for absolute beginners. Our chef will guide you through each step at a comfortable pace.
How long is the Doughnut Class?
The class is 2 hours long.
How many doughnuts will I take home?
You’ll take home approximately 8–12 doughnuts, plus a few doughnut holes, depending on how you roll and cut your dough. Quantity varies on how small or large you cut and roll your doughnuts.
Is the Doughnut Class suitable for vegans?
No. The brioche dough contains milk, eggs, and butter, so this class is not suitable for a vegan diet.
Is the Doughnut Class gluten-free?
No. The doughnuts are made with all-purpose flour containing gluten, so we are unable to accommodate a gluten-free version for this class.
Does the class contain nuts?
Yes. Please note that this class may contain nuts.
Can I make dietary substitutions?
For this class, we are not able to make vegan or gluten-free substitutions.

Are ingredients and equipment provided?
Yes! Like all classes at Le Dolci Culinary School in Toronto, all ingredients and equipment are provided. You don't need to bring anything with you.
What recipes will I receive?
You'll receive the brioche doughnut recipe, chocolate glaze recipe, and vanilla glaze recipe by email.
Can children attend the Doughnut Class?
Children under 13 must attend with a parent or guardian who is also enrolled in the class. For safety reasons, children cannot participate in the frying process and should step away while their parent or guardian handles the frying. Two tickets must be purchased when bringing a child.
Can I add an apron to my booking?
Yes! You can add our popular “Good Things Come To Those Who Bake” apron when booking your class.
Is the studio accessible?
Classes may be held in our upstairs studio, which is accessible by stairs only. If you need accommodation, please email us in advance and we'll do our best to help. Our downstairs studio is wheelchair accessible but our table heights are higher than usual for cooking purposes. Please email us in advance to discuss if we can accommodate.
Can I take my doughnuts home?
Absolutely! You'll leave with your freshly made doughnuts and doughnut holes to enjoy at home.
