Cake Picnic - Part III 🎂🍰🧺 Sat Sept 19, 2026

Only one ticket per guest? Yes, the reason for this is that each guest has to sign a waiver to promise to bring the most beautiful cake made with loving care as the safety of all our guests is our priority.

The waiver also includes a lot more legal speak to protect you and other guests so please read the waiver before signing it.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL, no refunds or exchanges or credits. You must show ID to enter the picnic. ⁠

Once the waiver is signed, you will be directed to fully check out to purchase your ticket and join us on Saturday September 19 at our secret downtown location. Location will be revealed only to guests with a ticket in the week leading up to the event.

It's central Toronto, downtown core and at an iconic venue so it will be easy to drive, walk, cycle, uber and take public transit to.

If you don't get a ticket this round, you will be still on the list for our 2027 event which will be even bigger than this one. We've had a huge demand for this picnic and we'd love to accommodate everyone but we'll do our best for a biggggger picnic in 2027.

We are doing this all very slowly and with care so all guests enjoy the picnic. Thank you for your kindness and cake love you send out to the world.

Location: Secret Downtown Location, revealed the week before the event.

What do I have to do? Bring a Cake!

• What you need to bring:
  • Your 6" cake or larger
  • A name-tag for your cake. e.g.This is Selma -she's a blueberry lemon cake with walnuts and lemon rind frosting. Be creative but please list all ingredients so guests who have allergies can steer clear of your cake.
  • A blanket, chair, cushion to sit on and enjoy everyone else's cake
  • Napkins, & fancy forks for you to enjoy your cake in style.
  • Reusable water bottle. We will have refreshments for all guests.
  • Sunscreen/hat in case it's super sunny!
    
    
• How does it work?
  • Guests will arrive, display their cake with their cake's name tag and mix and mingle and admire all the cakes.
    
  • There will be some fun things to do while we wait for all the cakes to arrive and for the fun to being. We have a DJ, photo booth and a few extra surprises so dress up and bring shoes you can dance in.
  • Guests each receive a box and a set time limit, to collect slices of as many cakes as they can fit into their cake boxes.
  • After the cake bell sounds-guests will go to their cosy blanket and enjoy their cakes with their new cake friends and fellow cake picnic participants. Everyone is so kind and loving so if you're coming alone, don't worry this cake community will welcome you.

How many tickets can I buy? ONE at a time, we need everyone to sign a waiver to protect our cake loving community. 

What if I can't make the day?
There are no refunds, exchanges or transfers of the ticket and you must show ID to enter the picnic. ⁠

Do I have to bake a cake? Well, if you love cake and are a cake baker, we want you at the picnic. This picnic is for people passionate about sharing their amazing cakes, favourite recipes and meeting like minded cake bakers and decorators. ⁠

Can I bring a child? Yes, you need to sign the waiver on their behalf if they're under 18.⁠ And remember to purchase a ticket for yourself too.

What else should I bring? A water bottle and blanket to laze on the grass to enjoy your cake slices with all of your new friends. ⁠

How does it work? In 4 simple steps.

1. Bake your masterpiece

Any flavour, any style — 6 inches or larger.
Homemade, from the heart, and ready for its close-up.

2. Show it off

Display your cake on the communal tables with a creative name tag listing key ingredients and allergens.

3. Wait for the bell

When the cake bell rings, grab your takeaway box —
you've got 7 minutes to collect as many slices as you can.

4. Picnic & share

Settle onto your blanket,
taste everything, and swap stories with
hundreds of fellow cake people.
After you've loaded up on cake, dance to the DJ's cake playlist,
wear a flower crown, henna or visit the glam station, cocktail and coffee bar
for more fun in the sun!
