There's nothing quite like the smell of warm cinnamon buns baking in your kitchen. At Le Dolci Culinary School in Toronto, our Homestyle Cinnamon Bun Class teaches you how to make soft, fluffy cinnamon buns from scratch, with plenty of hands-on guidance along the way.
Whether you're completely new to baking or simply want to learn how to make your favourite cinnamon buns at home, here's what you need to know about the class.
Is this class suitable for beginners?
Yes! This class is great for absolute beginners, so no prior baking experience is needed.
Our chef will guide you through each step at a comfortable pace, from mixing the dough to shaping your cinnamon buns.
How long is the class?
This is a 2-hour class.
What will I actually make?
You'll mix your own brioche-based cinnamon bun dough using pre-scaled ingredients prepared by our chef.
You'll learn how to roll, fill, and shape your buns, as well as how to make a delicious cream cheese icing to decorate them.
Do I bake and eat my cinnamon buns in class?
Not quite! You'll leave with 12 unproofed cinnamon buns in an oven-ready pan, along with cream cheese icing in a piping bag.
Once you're home, you can proof and bake your cinnamon buns fresh whenever you're ready. Your kitchen gets to enjoy that incredible cinnamon-and-brioche aroma!
Do I need to bring anything with me?
No! All ingredients and equipment are provided.
Just bring yourself and get ready to bake.
Will I get the recipe afterward?
Yes! The cinnamon bun and cream cheese icing recipes are emailed to you after class, so you can recreate them at home and customize your buns with your own flavours in the future.
Is the studio accessible?
Classes may be held in our upstairs studio, which is accessible by stairs only. If you need accommodation, please email us in advance and we'll do our best to help.
Our downstairs studio is wheelchair accessible, but our table heights are higher than usual for cooking purposes. Please email us in advance to discuss if we can accommodate you.
