Love pasta? 🍝 Whether you want to learn how to make stuffed gnocchi from scratch or enjoy a full Italian-inspired meal with friends, our pasta classes at Le Dolci Culinary School in Toronto are all about good food, hands-on cooking, and having fun in the kitchen.
Here are some of the most common questions about our pasta classes.
Is this class suitable for beginners?
Yes! Both our Stuffed Gnocchi Pasta Making Class and Taste of Italy Pasta Party are designed for absolute beginners.
No experience is necessary. Just bring an appetite for pasta and a willingness to get hands-on in the kitchen.
How long is the class?
Both the Stuffed Gnocchi Pasta Making Class and Taste of Italy Pasta Party run for 3 hours.
Do I eat in class, or take everything home?
Both!
In the Stuffed Gnocchi class, your handmade gnocchi is cooked on-site and served with homemade red sauce, breadsticks, and salad. You'll then take home the other half of your gnocchi to freeze and cook later.
In Taste of Italy, you'll make and enjoy a full 2-course meal in class, including fresh pasta with sauce, followed by tiramisù for dessert.
What will I actually make?
In the Stuffed Gnocchi class, you'll make potato gnocchi from scratch, learn how to fill and shape it, including a spinach-ricotta stuffed version, and pair it with a homemade red sauce.
In Taste of Italy, you'll make a traditional pasta dish from scratch with a flavourful sauce, then finish the meal by making a classic tiramisù.
Is this a good class for a date night or group outing?
Definitely! Our classes at Le Dolci Culinary School in Toronto are designed as social, hands-on experiences.
They're a fun way to spend an afternoon or evening cooking, eating, and making memories with a partner, friend, family member, or group.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
No! All ingredients and equipment are provided for both classes.
Just bring yourself and your appetite.
Is the studio accessible?
Classes may be held in our upstairs studio, which is accessible by stairs only. If you need accommodation, please email us in advance and we'll do our best to help.
Our downstairs studio is wheelchair accessible, but our table heights are higher than usual for cooking purposes. Please email us in advance to discuss if we can accommodate you.
Is this class private, or will I be with other guests?
All public classes at Le Dolci Culinary School in Toronto are shared, communal-style classes where you'll cook and eat alongside other guests.
It's part of what makes these classes so much fun. You get to meet fellow food lovers while enjoying the meal you've created together.
Can I add anything extra to my booking?
Yes! For the Stuffed Gnocchi class, you can add a "Good Things Come to Those Who Bake" apron at checkout to take home.
Is this a good gift idea?
Absolutely! Both classes are great for pasta lovers, foodies, date nights, birthdays, or anyone who wants to bring a little taste of Italy home with them.
