The Cake Clock is Ticking! 🍰 Here’s How The Cake Picnic Works

Hello Cake Lovers,

We’re so excited to see you at the Cake Picnic – Part Deux this Saturday! 🎉

Here’s a little bit more information on how the Cake Picnic works!

1) You will be divided into 3 groups via your wristbands.

2) After you check in, visit allll the gorgeous cakes and see which one you may want a slice of when the time comes for the Cake Clock to start. After you visit all the gorgeous cakes, check out all of the fun activations we have for you, lawn games, glam station, coffee bar, non-alch Chill Lounge and wear your dancing shoes to sway with the DJ playing some cake-tastic tunes.

3) When the Cake Clock starts and the Bell rings (!) each group will have JUST 5 MINUTES to wander the cake tables and cut off pieces of cake from their favourite creations. Bring your running shoes!

Jenn our fearless event leader will tell you all this again on the day in case you forget!

4) When the Cake Clock ends please take your cake and move out of the Cake Tent so the next group of Cake Lovers can have their turn to collect all of the delicious cake slices they've had their eye on.

NOTES FOR ALL CAKE CLOCK PARTICIPANTS

Please be mindful of your slice size – we’re expecting 200 guests, so kindly take 1x1 serving-sized samples and leave enough cake for the other two groups, especially if you're the first group to get to choose the cakes.

A 1x1 slice, which is sometimes called a finger portion, gives you the chance to sample many different cakes and leaves enough cake for the cake lovers who go after you

🤝 After all three groups have had their turn, we’ll reopen the tables so you can go back for seconds (if leftovers remain!).

And here's a reminder of all of the details for the picnic on Saturday.

📍 Location: Canoe Landing Park – 95 Fort York Blvd, Toronto

🕙 Picnic Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

🍓 What You Need to Bring

  • 🎂 Your cake: A 6" cake (or larger) to place under our 60x90 marquee.

  • 🏷️ A creative cake name tag — e.g. “This is Selma: a blueberry lemon cake with walnuts and lemon rind frosting.”
→ Please list all ingredients so guests with allergies can steer clear.

  • A serving tool to cut and share your cake.

  • Something comfy to sit on — like a blanket to enjoy cake time.

  • 🍴 Cloth Napkins & fancy forks for eating your cake in style and helping us be zero waste at the picnic.

We can’t wait to share this sweet, joyful day with you!

With sprinkles & smiles,
The Cake Picnic Team
