Cream Cheese Cucumber Sandwiches

Nothing says picnic season like Cream Cheese Cucumber Sandwiches! Soft bread, crisp cucumber, and herbed Ontario cream cheese make these the perfect bite for sunny afternoons. Pack a basket and enjoy!

  1. Step
    In a small bowl, mix the Ontario cream cheese with the chopped herbs, sea salt, and lemon juice until smooth and well combined.
  2. Step
    Spread a thin layer of Ontario butter on one side of each bread slice. Then, spread a generous amount of the herbed cream cheese mixture over the buttered side of half the slices.
  3. Step
    Arrange the cucumber slices evenly over the cream cheese layer, slightly overlapping them.
  4. Step
    Place the remaining bread slices on top to form sandwiches, pressing gently.
  5. Step
    Cut each sandwich into quarters—either triangles or rectangles—and arrange on a serving plate.
  6. Step
    Garnish with extra dill or cucumber slices and serve immediately.
  7. Enjoy!
