Delicious Winter Tarts

There truly is nothing better than a warm beverage and a delicious tart! Make your own tarts in our Winter Tart Class taught by Lindsey. She will guide you through how to make a sweet dough and two tart fillings. This is a new class set to start on Friday, February 19th from 7-9pm. These tarts will surely be a hit at any occasion.

Food Photography Workshop with Libby Roach

We are very excited to have this opportunity to host a food photography workshop. This is a hands-on photography class with Libby Roach. She will be working with students one-on-one and will teach the basics of food photography. The class will focus on manual camera function with a full in depth explanation on f/stops, shutter speed and ISO.

Also going into white balance, composition details and lighting. This workshop is just the beginning of your journey in photography and can help you set up your own portfolios. Each student will receive a hands on primer, as well as printed notes to take home with suggestions for further learning (online resources, favourite books, websites, etc.) Each student is required to bring their own DSLR (or camera equivalent) and camera manual, and tripod. They should verify they have a working memory card and a fully charged battery.

A little bit about Libby:

Libby is a graduate of the Digital Photography Program at George Brown. She has been immersed in the food scene in Toronto, contributing to BlogTO, Vv Magazine and Post City Magazine. Her work has appeared in The Appetizer (National Post) as well as Archibald Magazine (print). She is a frequent Gastropost contributor and has worked with St Joseph Media, amongst many other corporate clients and restaurants.
