We were voted as Best Place to Take a Culinary Class in the City

Le Dolci’s Doughnut Fun class is featured in Toronto Life’s November edition as one of the top 10 Foodie Classes in Toronto. The list features the best places in the city to get hands-on learning experience that you can take with you well beyond the classroom.

The Doughnut class is usually scheduled at least three times a month and has quickly become one of our most popular classes, often selling out. It’s also become the first choice for corporate events as well as bachelorette and birthday parties.

You learn how to make the doughnuts from scratch, fry and decorate all in the span of two hours and then take them home with you and get the recipe emailed the following day so you can make yourself anytime you’d like.

Recently added to the class program is Bomboloni – an Italian filled doughnut which is just as tasty as it’s original doughnut cousin.

We have Doughnut classes throughout November and December with spots still available so check out our schedule and register directly online. It couldn’t be easier.

We look forward to seeing you in class soon!

Celebrate Thanksgiving with Pie Week at Le Dolci

Fall has arrived and the leaves are changing colours which means Thanksgiving is just around the corner. There’s so much to be thankful for including dessert.

Thanksgiving and pie go hand-in-hand and Le Dolci’s offering a number of classes the week leading up to the holiday so you can make your own pumpkin or apple pie from scratch and take it home ready to bake and serve – not to mention how impressed your family and friends will be.

Not into pies? That’s okay too as we are also offering some Thanksgiving themed cake and cupcake decorating classes that week as well.

Once Thanksgiving’s come and gone, the treats and classes live on. We’ll have special fall themed classes like Fall Colour Parisian Macarons or our increasingly popular Buttercream Flowers class featuring Fall Bouquets as the theme.

You can register directly online for any and all classes. Class cost includes all materials and you get to take home your delicious treats and we’ll send you the recipe the next day so you can try your hand in the comfort of your own home next time.

Don’t forget, you can always order some delicious cakes or cupcakes from our online shop for pick up or delivery. We can also do custom cakes like this fall beauty.

If you’re in the east end, our Scarborough Town Centre location always has some delicious cakes available for pick up as well.

Happy Thanksgiving!

BAT FLIP BAUTISTA TAKES HIS CAKES SERIOUSLY

As the regular season starts to wind down on the Toronto Blue Jays and MLB, we wanted to share our experience with one of the most famous Blue Jays of the past – Jose Bautista.

The Bautistas have been loyal Le Dolci customers for years and they wouldn’t let a border and several states stop them from coming back to us so when they asked, we answered.

Earlier this summer, one of our team members, Jane, was lucky enough to FLY to Florida to help Jose and his wife celebrate their daughter’s birthday in style. They opened their home to us as we took cake decorating to a whole other level and, armed with a suitcase full of sweet treats, brought the class to Tampa!

The kids loved making their own Lorenzo llamas and Jane had nothing but nice things to say about the trip and the family!

It was an honour and we look forward to hopefully have more exciting cake trips in our future.

If you’re interested in hosting a private party, taking a class, or ordering some cake or cupcakes for your next event, email orders@ledolci.com or visit our shop online.
